Privacy policy

TIVA Wholesalers ("TIVA", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through tivawholesalers.co.za, why, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
Who is responsible
TIVA Wholesalers, 10 Piper Street, Mayfair, Johannesburg, 2092. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to info@tivawholesalers.co.za, which is also the contact for our Information Officer.
What we collect
When you submit the quote request form we collect:
- your name and business name;
- your phone number or email address;
- the products and quantities you tell us you need.
If you email us we also keep the email and its contents. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, automatically processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies.
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a wholesale quote.
- To open and manage a trade account if you ask us to.
- To process, deliver and invoice orders, and keep records we are legally required to keep.
- To keep the website secure and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for marketing unless you have asked to hear from us.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers who help us run the business, bound to keep it confidential: our website host (Cloudflare), our form delivery service (FormSubmit), our email provider, and delivery partners where an order requires it. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Some of these providers operate outside South Africa, so your information may be processed in other countries. We only use providers that give a reasonable level of protection for it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an order are kept for as long as needed to follow up, then deleted. Customer and transaction records are kept for as long as the law requires, which for tax and accounting records is generally five years.
How we protect it
The website is served over HTTPS and we limit access to personal information to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and if a breach affecting your information occurs we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
Your rights
You may ask us to confirm what information we hold about you, give you a copy, correct it, or delete it. You may object to our processing or withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email info@tivawholesalers.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable time.
If you believe we have handled your information unlawfully you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
Changes
We may update this policy and will change the effective date above when we do.
